Futures Thinking Aotearoa (The New Zealand Futures Trust) constantly reviews major changes happening in the world. We use our international associate organisations as a source of the best information available anywhere. We provide this, and more, to encourage and assist you and others to understand the ever-changing world we live in, and to make plans for the future.

On this web site, if you are a member, you will find information specially selected from our wide range of credible international associate organisations and our NZ network of contributors. We’ve put together the best ‘big picture’ we can. You’ll find a New Zealand interpretation of international trends, and plenty of thoughts on how you can respond to the changes likely to affect you

As the site grows, we will be adding more interactive features that enable members to have their say. If you want to stay in touch and enjoy debating the big issues of the day, membership of Futures Thinking Aotearoa is for you.

Future Times

This publication is produced quarterly, covering such topics as technology, people and change, trade, youth, race relations, health, transport, work and the environment in a New Zealand context. Each edition examines up-to-date research on relevant topics and includes commentary from recognised experts. It may also include overseas studies, abstracts of publications, book reviews and items of interest regarding future studies. It includes Future Watch a futures scanning section which abstracts recent books and articles from a variety of journals and lists them under significant topic headings such as work, health, social, and peace.

e-Future Times is an electronic extension of Future Times published on an ad hoc basis containing articles that could not be included in the current issue of Future Times because of space constraints and when appropriate the full version of a Future Times summary article with references etc.

Our Energy Project website
